Description

Beneath a mass of swirling blue and green, water bubbles drift around arching seaweed. The biggest crab within this design is drawn in vivid blue with orange at the joints, its spotted shell almost rough to the touch and pincers held wide. Among the most detailed moments: pale barnacles nestled into hard-to-reach places at the edges of the crab’s legs, the kind of touch usually missed in looser marine illustrations.

Orange and yellow anemones ripple outward, every tentacle carefully shaped, moving through bright green fronds that twist over each other. Bubbles and breaks of white splash in a way that almost conceals the seaweed behind them, blurring the sense of where water ends and plants begin. The layering of these elements covers the background, with barely a spot untouched.
