Description
An illustrated barn owl spreads its wings wide, rendered in crisp tattoo style, with each tan and cream feather detailed by brown bars and dense black speckles. The face, white and flanked by inky outlined eyes, forms a distinct heart shape. Beneath, thorny bramble vines twist with clustered blackberries in ripening reds, purples and black, their leaves near-black and their blossoms delicate with five white petals each. The talons grip the vine just firmly enough to compress the stems against the bird’s feet.
Two shaded cream banners, each with a worn reddish-brown and black type, cross below the owl and display the words “WINGS OVER THE BRAMBLE” in bold serif, followed by “ROOM TO RISE” in smaller serif block. Three four-pointed gold starbursts are carefully placed in the otherwise quiet gray background, neither symmetrical nor random, but positioned just apart from wings, vine, and ribbons. Printed on a heavyweight unisex crewneck T-shirt, the composition feels measured and full, with the banners set to match the tension of wings to thorn and fruit. Every mark works together, holding the space between tangle and flight.
