Description
Embroidery gives “Doubt & Devotion” a raised, compact presence on the Classic Dad Hat, preserving the hard edges of its purple block lettering. Thick black outlines hold each letter apart, while white interior openings cut through the forms and keep the dense construction legible. The top line does not follow a simple baseline: the D leans left, the U and B crest at the high point, and the T descends toward the right.
The separated ampersand drops low at the far right, with a clear white interval after the T that breaks the upper arc. “Devotion” forms the grounded half of the composition in tightly packed capitals. Its broad slab serifs and clipped corners give the lower row a blunt, architectural rhythm; outlines nearly meet from letter to letter, making it read as one continuous horizontal band. The fills remain solid and flat, without shading or texture. The wide white opening beneath the arched words keeps the two lines distinctly resolved.
